Hi!.
I prefer the color version, the BW is too… flat.

Thanks Levy!!
It seems that most would prefer the color version. So I will give more prominence to the color one. Although accounting for taste, there is no rule.

I prefer the coloured version, In BW one, though it is also nice, I think contrast has been too much. I mean a little exposure would have been better.

I agree with you, the B&W is too much contrasted…

generally I prefer black and white, leaves much to the imagination. Same counts for this one 🙂

By the moment you’re the only one who prefer the B&W. I also like this one, but color wins…

I like the color one better. It shows more details and I keeps looking at it.

Thank you very much Helen!
You’re right, the color one show more details. I think it is a problem with contrast, as stated “thegreyeye”.

The bar in colour invokes the mood of a neonlit nightclub, and draws me to it.

Thank you Veronica!!
It is an interesting contribution “the mood of a neonlit nightclub”. Actually this is what struck me to take the picture.

I like the black and white. Although the back of the bar does need some lightening up to give more dimension. I like the invisible chair look.

I prefer the black and white version. I like its graphic quality: the contrast of the the wispy lines of the chairs with the heavy darkness of the bar, and the checkerboard of the floor. I would have cropped the top of the photo lower down into the bar area to emphasize the curved white area containing the chairs. This would also move the line between dark and light upwards away from the center of the photo which I would also prefer.
… Setting my preference aside… The color version is nice, too, and I wouldn’t crop that one any different! 🙂

Very interesting comment. I think you’re right with the idea of cropping the top.
Thank you again!

I like both of them. But the color one really catches your eye making the black and white stand out less while they are together, it would probably stand out more on it´s own. 🙂
