I have posted two different versions of each photo, the second is a monochrome HDR. Photos with high dynamic range give a different view of the same scene that sometimes makes them very interesting.
The images were taken in La Rambla. Barcelona

Both great street photos, but I really love the first one; you have really captured som characters and their little moment while passing by. As for the technique and processing, I prefer the non-HDR for their more natural look. 🙂

Thank you Otto, I also prefer the non-HDR ones, but I like to play with HDR editing, sometimes you can see new things in the photo…

HDR is both fun and can enhance a photo, but often I find the effect to be too much. 🙂

Love the subjects in the first photo, they’re both such characters!

Thank you Laura. Yes, they’re interesting subjects in this photo, it’s because I shot them. Fortunately I was ready with the camera!

Barcelona looks beautiful! Great images.
For the first picture (the woman and the girl), the non-HDR version is lighter, smoother and has more contrast. I prefer it to the HDR version.
For the second picture (man with hands in pockets), I like the HDR version better. It has more contrast and a certain dreamy quality.

Yhank you for your comments. Everyone has their tastes, it is what I like to put several editions of the same photo. People never agrees on which is the best …
Thanks again!!

I’ve never been a fan of HDR, to my eye they have a certain ‘false’ look about them. Give me plain well photographed monochrome any time. On the positive side though, your viewpoint and composition top the bill for effect.

Thank you for the comment. You’re probably right in this false look you say. To tell you the truth, I would also like more the “plain” image. But everything is in the picture and HDR only interprets the image in other ways.
Thanks for your support!!
