I have been nominated by the friend Roy, a fine blogger and photographer, in a challenge to post my three favorite quotes, one each for three consecutive days. I’ve sportively accepted: I’ll post three of the most interesting quotes I remember. Thanks Roy for the nomination!
Today, a quote about photography by Ernst Haas (1921–1986), acclaimed as one of the most celebrated and influential photographers of the 20th century and considered one of the pioneers of color photography.
He thought “the camera only facilitates the taking. The photographer must do the giving in order to transform and transcend ordinary reality”:
With each post I must nominate three bloggers for the challenge.
Today are nominated:
- Melinda from Looking for the Light and Survivors blog here, great photographer and blogger. As she says, a warrior. I would add, a survivor with an encouraging history.
- Nia from “Photography of Nia”, niaART, Passages and many more. She is a great photographer, painter, writer and impressive blogger. She works hard everyday on her blogs. She loves cats, trees and birds, beautiful people, art world, photography and her camera.
- Ruchi from Come Travel Along. As she says, dreamer, travel enthusiast, working woman and a wife. A stunning photographer and blogger you must follow.
Congratulations. Your photography and your blog is an inspiration for me always, and makes me excited about photography. Thank you for your nice nomination, it is always great honour for me. Usually I can’t join this kind of challenge, or awards, but maybe this time, especially because of the concept I would like to do something. But not promise. Because it depends on my time…Also Thank you so much for your nice words about my blog. It is always so nice to hear something nice, especially when you are running crazily in this amazing world. Blessing and Happiness, love, nia

You don’t have to rub it in with all the gear. Leica is my fav. I appreciate the kinds words, it had to say I’m as photographer standing next to you I’ll take you on. My end of the street is award and challenged out, I’ll have to stretch far and wide. Being it’s 1:25AM, I’ll count starting on Thursday.
So glad you invited me in.

I think it’s so late people will think I’m drunk in the above comment. Bottom line are a professional photographer, I’m a wanna be. That’s cool there’s room for all of us.

You are dead on. If photography is in you’re heart you drive forward with passion. I look forward to getting out to explore the world around me. I didn’t get a chance to see my roses this year. Roses another passion. I took photos of a Ladybug breaking out of shell and turning to Nymph state. I’m hoping to have it out on Friday.
I’m babling on….lack of sleep.
Have a great day/eve
🙂

Unfortunately, none of these Leicas is mine.
I usually take with my Sony A7II, with which I am very happy. But Leica always be an object of desire for me …
